I have kept in contact with Lurae Dahl Bailey and she has been my lifeline to all that has been happening in Woodland and with our class the past 50 years. I am so anxious to see people as I was at the 25th and had SO MUCH fun!
A funny story I remember was my first time on skis as a freshman and went up with the ski club. My brother, Troy, was a senior and I remember his friends saying to me "come on Nancy ride the gondola up to the top of Squaw Peak with us as there is a rope tow there!" Needless to say, I slid down the mountain on my rear when I couldn't find that "nonexistent" rope tow and my brother couldn't stop laughing when he heard about what happened! Embarrassing!

School Story

Graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Portland Oregon in 1968. It was a VERY difficult move from Woodland for me as I left a place I loved... but, I made some wonderful friends at Wilson High School. After graduation I went to nursing school, worked in intensive care unit for several years and got into nursing leadership. Went back to school for my BS, MBA, MSN and PhD in hospital administration. I worked as Vice President of Nursing in many places until going overseas to the Middle East. Commissioned the first children's cancer hospital and research centre in the area that we modeled after St. Jude Children's in Memphis, TN. Consulted, lectured and worked in over 45 countries ....feel so blessed that God provided me with the career I have. I am still very involved with nursing and health care as well as education, publishing articles/book written for an international audience on leadership, and consulting. Meeting Nelson Mandela, the Dali Lama, Presidents, King's and Queens has been an adventure I could never had imagined in my lifetime!

I was working in Sydney, Australia when my father became ill and I came back to care for him. He and mom were living in Arizona...he passed in 2011 and mom and I moved back to Portland...enough heat in Arizona! Mom is 92 and still doing cross word puzzles in ink and trivia!
