(By posting in this forum, you acknowledge that you have read and will abide by these rules.)
The website was continued after the 2013 reunion for the enjoyment of the members. They shouldn't be subjected to annoying posts when they come to the Message Forum. Forums work when people participate - so don't be bashful. But be respectful. This may seem like a private chat room, but 800 of your classmates have access to it (along with ~two dozen of our former teachers), and many more classmates read than participate.
The administrators reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Access and participation on this forum is not a right, it is a privilege and abuse may result in suspension or revocation of WHS60s site access at any time.
Abuse includes but is not limited to personal attacks, offensive, demeaning, excessive or nonsensical posts, badgering, foul language, etc. It is not a place to disparage others, especially deceased classmates. Posting involving politics or religion are prohibited as they typically and quickly become offensive/demeaning.
We don't actively monitor the forum, but respond to complaints and take action as deemed appropriate.

Monty--Although, I do not know you, I know exactly how you feel. I was degraded by a want-to-be intellectual for posting my facts about Woodland High School's colors. That is why, when I see this person's name, I refuse to open the WHS site. It is unfortunate that many people have to have the same mentality as they did when the were in high school--let's say for the sake of being polite, smart alec(k).
I am in so hope that we all see and respect the Christmas season as we all feel. It is a joyful time and good memories of Woodland High School should be the upmost of importance to all. A little joy and spark is the best of times for all.
Now if we all look back a little, we have come a long way, with much greatness to all. Remember that one word we all appreciate, Respect, as the song goes. Thank you.
We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year! (Does anybody recognize me? I'm the one sitting in the chair with Anna on my lap at a church Christmas party.)
john, when i went to woodland high i came from west sacramento. we lived in the country by elkhorn ferry. I quickly discovered that woodland had a elite part of there population. I tried to make friends with the kids but it was evedent that i wasnt up to there financial standards. All of the time i spent in woodland i was friends with the hispanic kids or the poor kids that lived in the area.people in woodland were very judgmental.perhaps that is still the case. ps. sorry for the spelling.
Jim I was with the 1st Aviation Brigade, 213 blackcat, phu loy, Viet Nam.1968. Chinook out fit. no USO show for us, just combat. I was a Huey crew chief in a chinook out fit. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Welcome Home. I am a 100% disabled Vet with agent orange. doing well.
Gary: Dad was under the sign of the Black Cats during World War II in the Army, 13th Armored Division. Dad was stationed at Beale Air Force Base for training. Walt Disney made the insignia of the Black Cats. The idea was that if the enemy came up against the 13th Armored Division they would have a run of bad luck, with the spilt salt, broken mirror, and open umbrella, all under the ladder. (Design created in Fall of 1942). The 13th armored landed at Le Have, France, January 29, 1945. Performing occupation duties and then combat. I have this original patch behind Dad's Army picture, plus this Christmas card in his history file. Thank you. Good looking picture of you - so young!
Gary, This is Jim Barger and I was a young First LT and Hleicopter Pilot with the 128th Assault Helicopter Company at Phu Loi Vietnam in June of 1969-June of 1970 I was the Company Administration Officer and worked in Supply for the Motor Pool as well. The Backcats Chinook Company was just down the street from us at Phu Loi and well as the Germinos.
The 55th Annual Woodland Holiday Parade took place Saturday morning. More than 100 groups made their way down Main Street from West to Sixth streets as part of the procession.
Bundled up in their warmest garments, between 20-and-25,000 attendees braved temperatures that hovered in the mid-50s to be part of the festivities.
Worldclass adaptive water skier and Woodland native Elisha Nelson served as grand marshal at the event that lasted from 10 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. As always, Santa closed out the celebration. The Holiday Parade is put on by the city and local Chamber of Commerce. Waste Management of Woodland was 2019’s host sponsor.

Greg: Great Christmas picture from the past. I can see Sue as the angel, as she is the sweetest, in my eyes, with that dark hair. Lovely picture. Thank you so much for sharing. I also enjoyed the Woodland Parade pictures. Rain today, it is the season. My best to all.
Jim Barger, thanks for posting that sign. your out fit the128th was right below us. the 128th got hit pretty hard dearing the tet. especially from Zion, our own people. 105 Howitzers took out the back enlistment quarters.
