We had the group of students who were concidered 600 in our 1963 class.  One of our class reunion nights the night before one of the guys who was a 600 had a before reunion party and invited only the ones that were concidered 600. 

Bev Hukill (Nunes) (1969)

We moved from Dixon to Woodland in '67. It became apparent very quickly there was a group that I wouldn't be included in. I was told they are the 600's. It was hurtful at first but then I did develop some good friendships to finish my years at WHS. That exclusionary mentally is sad and it's still alive and well today around the world.

JoAnn Kergel (Wirth) (1965)

Joel, Ringo and his All Star Band are here in Bend, OR for a concert tonight.  Not going but went last Sst. to see Joe Bonamassa and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.  Awesome lineup of talent this summer at the the venue by the Deschutes River.  James Taylor last Sun. and Dave Mathews soon.  I thought maybe Ringo escaped from Woodville.

Here's another bit of Woodland Trivia. This was in the background of a 35mm slide Dad took in our backyard in 1958. Tafoya's Market and Scales were out on the HWY (East Street). I talked with David Tafoya yesterday and he did not remember that his parents gave these away in the day. Anyone remember this, or even have one stuck away somewhere :-)  ?

Bernard Rocksvold (1965)

Don't remember the signs for Tafoya's scales and market. But I do remember collecting soda bottles, on my bicycle, until my newspaper delivery bags where full. Then taking said bottles to Tafoya's and redeeming them for $.03 appiece. Then went over to the meat counter and had Raymond or Benny sell me a pig piece of pickled pigs feet out of a huge jar on top of the meat counter.. Hopped back on my bike and rode over to the railroad tracks, sat down , and devoured the pigs feet. Simpler time then!

Tafoyas Market has been closed for years,, and recently was completely swept away to the bare earth..,,,.  remember the slogan they put in the 65 or 66 ILEX advertising section?    "You might beat our prices, but you can't beat our meat"   BENNY ?!!!

This year we used two methods to get the message out to "Save the Date" for the 60s Decade Reunion.  We sent out an email to you if we had an email address and if not, then we mailed out a postcard.  Emails were sent out on 4/15/23 to the class of 65.  If you missed it or did not receive it please let me know at onebin14@jps.net and I will resend it.  JoAnn I will resend yours today.

Great to see interest in updating addresses on the website.   The site is set up so you can  "do it yourself".  Go to Member Functions in the left panel, then click on Edit Profile.  Change/add/delete what you like, then save.  BTW, we are all going to die sometime.  This is your opportunity to record your own eulogy, if not just your current address, contact info, favorite pictures, etc.
