I became ill Sunday night after the reunion.  I did not loose (pun intended) the symptoms until Wednesday evening.  I would like to help the reunion committee solve this problem which appears to originate from the Caterer.  So, who from the reunion committee made arrangements with the Caterer so I can contact them and assist wherever I can.  dave hughes

Wow - must add myself and husband to the list of attendees getting sick. I actually was complaining of cramps Saturday night. Blamed it on my jeans being too tight. Guess not the case. My husband felt bad Sunday night and actually became very dehydrated Monday from all the bathroom trips. Crazy but on our flight home yesterday, more symptoms for me. Thankfully nice long layover in Dallas on our way home to Huntsville, AL.  Hope everyone’s feeling better soon.

Hey Everyone  I am sorry to hear so many of us came down with flu-like symptoms after attending such a wonderful event. While the food was delicious there must have been a problem somewhere in the food chain.  I am in contact with the caterer and am notifying the County Health Dept.  We will update everyone as we learn more about what to do and if the county wants more information from any/all of us.  In the meantime, hope you're all feeling better!!

Well.........My wife and I also joined the fraternity of the Intestinal Disorder on Monday. Not sure which food item was the culprit, as we both ate everything that was on our plates. After a couple of days and some weight loss, we both seem to be OK right now. On the bright side it was nice to see and talk to some friends at the event that I had not seen in many, many years. Thank all of you that attended and especially those that volunteered their time to make this event possible and a success......

I didn't attend the reunion as I had the flu.  How ironic.   Who was the caterer?

Long time since I have been on the forum to many places, people and things to do.

Reunion.

Great Event...Perfect Weather..Well Organized...Great venue to visit and mingle and spend time with childhood and high school friends.  Went over old legends and stories we experienced.. were part of or involved in or have developed plausible deniabilities thereto.  How careers were developed, defining moments both good and bad and how we have approached and dealt with what has been presented to us.  We got an excellent education at WHS and it was my pleasure and honor to meet the daughter or Joseph Faltis and the many stories from his class alone.  I was in Loren Smiths typing class when Kennedy was shot ... lots of slammed keys.  Math from Gerald Mosher and Leonard Thatcher saved lives in RVN when artillary was needed. Science John Ligaitis when we had to improvise to disarm or get the most out of something and Elmer Pfaffenberger the love of scientific discovery and how to save a life by knowing the parts or what holes to plug as there are no second guesses or I will do better next time.  Stahlhut, Weisick, Williams for who we are and where and why were at. Fred Stone for just being Fred.  NOTE did experience the "SUMMER FLU"  some facts for the epidemiologists..Old RVN Grunt Protocol Sgts eat last..I think I was the last to get served as they were packing up Saturday night.  I had the beef, pasta salad, butter and bun, and the green salad..  I remember going back and remarking the food as good and inquired about the dressing which I found as delicious and fit well with the lettuce.  It was home made.  Sunday the box lunch sandwich with a chocolate chip package cookie and water.   Monday Night experienced severe onset diarrhea, the achy joints and slight fever.  Severe watery diarrhea Tuesday morning, achy joints, fever gone.  Symptoms disappearing Thursday as my microbiome reacts to the invasion..  My guess is the lettuce (bagged-Report) local fresh visit site downwind of animals or near trees and check the ingredients in the dressing homemade additives.   Things happen all the time and what we do about them is more about us and who we are than how we react to them.  We went to WHS and if you look closely have the skills to handle them.  Thanks for all the posts and can wait for the next event..

No matter what you think from reading the previous posts, this was not a crappy party.  The crappy party took place after the reunion by many  individuals in private surroundings.  Shelly and I had the privilege of checking in class of 64.  We visited with everyone for a bit, it was good to see you all. Good party!!!  Thanks to all who came and was a part of old WHS.  RIP those who are gone.

Even..though i did not make it..to the Reunion..It was great to read all the Post...see the names that made up WHS...those were the great times ........Education was the best.......back then some had other views of that..it went by fast.....After a few years past..it hit me.....the teacher taught us what we needed to get through the struggles we were to face..becoming adults........something the kids of today will never experience......As far as the dinner issue and so many becoming sick......i am glad i did not make it...going back to Bakersfield..would have been a long drive up....and the hope i find that bathroom quick..going back.................any who..it was nice to read all the post...Woodland then was the best.........

Add me to the list as well.  It was not until Wed. and not severe, but was wondering where I got the "bug", now I know after reading the forum.  Otherwise, I had a great time and enjoyed seeing everybody.  Thank you to the committee for doing such a great job organizing and succeeding with a "Great Reunion".

I just want to thank the reunion committee for all your hard work. It was so much fun getting together with friends from so long ago and sharing memories. Unfortunately my husband and I also are among those that became ill after the reunion dinner.

Sandra Moffett (Brown) (1965)

Add me to the list also. Woke up early Mon morning with severe runs. Felt some better Wed but didn't feel good Thurs and then had severe runs again all night. Dan hasn't felt 100% but mostly headache. Such a shame after a wonderful event. Thanks to all who worked to put this event on.

So sorry to hear of the after-reunion "flu." For what it's worth, I did not get sick, and I had bites of everything except the green salad. The reunion was wonderful. It was great to see and visit with so many. Thanks to all who organized this event.
