Hi Joan

The pic of mom and me was taken in Inglewood, Calif. Somewhere I have the address of that house, mom was there while Dad was overseas. LOL and the "old cars" in the background, were pretty new then :-)

I  like to read the forum and enjoy itl

I normally do not write on it, however I read Monte McCrays' response to Craigs message and agree we should not post  "political" thoughts.

I agree, Politics has no place on this forum.

It's true that discussing politics on this forum is,unfortunately, useless.  There was a time when we could listen to each others' ideas and think about our differences.   That was before Trump.

Politics and politions in this country have become an abomination, best discussed or cussed on some other venue. Please not here.

Merry Christmas to all and a happy and healthy new year!

Craig. he may be dangerous. biden may be dangerous but reguardless who is in office they are still MY PRESIDENT wether i voted for them or not. I am not going to make it my lifes quest to slam or bellitle them i am going to support them to the best of my ability. That is how a democratis election is suppose to work. If we arent going to do it that way we might as well get arms and start a revolution again. OH wait didnt we do something like that during the american revolution? { of course that was the colonists against the british. with some colonists not sticking with the others} Greg as a lawer you should know about following rules laws and what it takes to change or circumvent them in a legal way.I dont think there should be parties. Everyone who wants to run should do so and the best man or woman wins. Altough the same thing would probaly happen.

Jim and Greg, your family pictures of days gone by are so refreshing to enjoy and reflect upon.   Our memories are like a movie camera in our minds, and the pictures bring them to life.  Thank you all.  I also see some very handsome dogs in these pictures shared, all with good keepers.  Merry, Merry!

Thank you, Monte. I would also add that those of us who are people of faith should pray diligently for the people in government, from the President down to local dog catcher.
Merry Christmas to all, and Blessings for the New Year.

Hey Craig,  I think we put on the best Car club dances at the time.  Remember the time we went to the cocunut Grove ball room in Sac to see Paul Revere and the Raiders. We tried to get them to play at our dance.  They had just made it  big so they turned us down .  I still have some of the old dance posters and business cards.  If I can find them, I will post them..  I also have my E.T. jacket and car club plaque.  The plaque is currently on my 36 Ford.

Don't see many posts from the 1968 group. Are any of our teachers still living?

Here is a Merry Christmas 1960s, but there is popcorn on the tree.    Does anyone have a picture of Woodland Main Street at Christmas with the red bells across the street?  That was one of the best decorations at Christmas, or Epperson's Christmas Tree in their big showroom.

What are your memories of the Hotel Julian, It was torn down in Aug 1968. I was overseas at that time, but Mom sent me a clipping from the newspaper. I can remember walking the alley behind it as a kid - it was such a cool alley, but I did not have a camera then, so no pix

Greg, I had to look into the history of the Julian Hotel in Crafting a Valley Jewel, by David Wilkinson.  The corner entrance to the building was a post office.  The third story of the Julian burned in 1920.  And they noted it was victim of the wrecking ball in 1967.  Located at the corner of Second and Main, now the Heritage Plaza and the Daily Democrat Building.

In the picture above that's Craig Riggins on the far left and Jeff Norton on the far right. That now should complete everyone's name in the picture. Great memories.
