Mike...so many of our teachers were veterans of World War 2.......They never mention this to us....but have found out here after their passing....during tht time when they returned, they put all that gear in their closets or trunks and went on their way carrying all that horror they saw inside them hidden by us and the publiuc..., but knew they gave us freedom...the younger ones and some of the older individuals take for granted........When I worked on the Woodland Police Dept....I had encountered a few that served in the Pacific and could not live a life in a home......then I really did not understand that situation but as I got older..I realize that era brought our Country together again only to be lost again for a short time......We charish their service and sacrifices........this is the subject that needs a repeat in grammer school and high school

Snow!?? Checked back in MI, my kids have cold in the 20s with 4 inches. I do not miss it this year. Now I could be in my overalls, boots, hat, mittens, and scarf on my 4 wheeler running down the road. That I do miss. With four wheel drive it does great on the snow.

Do you 4 wheel there in Bakersfield? Here in Woodland do they have a gun club with shooting range?? I love to skeet shot. Was good with that shot gun. Used a right handed one and shot left handed. Did not seem to make a difference for me.

Happy New Year 2017!  Amazing we are here already.  Thank you Robert Cowing for listing all the Veterans names to review, great men and women.  It presents our history clearly and those who have given to make our country free and safe; may it all continue for the United States of America.
