Thank You Robert!

You have been a great service to this forum. I can only hope that someone will pick up where you left off. Cheers and a long healthy life.

Well said Craig...I think.

Okay...you wanna go there?

CAN YOU HEAR US YET? Georgia & South Carolina just showed you that the good ole USA can't be bought. God confounds the ways of the world and makes them look foolish.

White privilege? Anti-American attitudes?
Brainwashed snowflakes. Violent antifa who are facists. Plays showing our President being assassinated, comedian wannabes holding a bloody decapitated head of our President. Shootings at baseball games because they are Republicans. Websites calling for stabbing of Trump supporters. I could go on ad nauseum. The left has gone mad. In short, you lost. 65 million Americans voted & now it's your turn to allow us our freedom of speech.

Craig, why don't you try to stay in the present...stop regurgitating everything you heard on fake news from day 1.

If the left doesn't like it here, you can choose to stop whining, stop your violence, stop the oppression of free speech when it differs from what you want, or you can leave.

MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Robert,

You have done a wonderful job keeping us informed...obituaries, military et al! I personally will miss your updates, which are really helpful for those of us not living in Woodland.

By the way, I recently attended  a Marine memorial service at the Dixon Veteran's Cemetary. It is a lovely place and does our veferans proud.

Thank you for all that you have done,

Lenora Monaco

To blame an entire party for what a few wackos that claim to be a part of that party is quite silly. Those are horrendous things carried out by a very small amount of "members" of that group. And just as many horrendous acts can be found on the other side. Perhaps more, who knows for sure.

Much of this all started when a very powerful man, months ago, said it was ok to "beat the crap out of them". Followers take this stuff seriously.

And that very powerful man continues his ranting nonsense. Eventhough, I did not vote for him, I was hopng he would step up to the plate and be a President. Still waiting. Nothing good has happened yet, still waiting. And still hoping.

By the way, where did you get that article you cut and pasted, sounds familiar. Just curious.

Thank you Robert for all your time and careing for our history.  My Mom, two uncles, one aunt, my brother and many many cousins (the Knights of Knights are relatives) graduated from WHS.  We are a little closer to the end than the start and stuff that brings good memories is valuable.  Thanks !

Thank you Robert for all your time. I always enjoyed anything you added to this site. Keep in touch and I'll look forward to seeing your comments in the future..

Anyway Sherry. That quote you pasted was from a gentleman by the name of Robert Mccain. A widely read individual. A very provocative journalist.

Robert Cowing, your work on the Woodland High School Forum has been grand.  All the information and history has been so interesting to read.  Hats off for a job well done!!!  We all appreciated your time and dedication.  Hope to read a few more of your additions along this road.

Thank you Craig Mayfield for being a voice for sanity - and giving those of us far away a better feeling about our old home town than we get from selfish people like Sherry, people who have the nerve to call themselves Christians - Sherry, whose ignorant, thoughtless rant just made me want to take a shower.   Fox News has done an excellent job convincing people of "alternative facts".

I never thought I'd live in a time where being a Patriot, loving & being loyal to my country, would be considered ignorant, selfish & judged as non-Christian. I guess that be can added to the list of other names we're called when we disagree with 'tolerant liberals' - a racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, redneck, Bible believing, gun toting bigot. I choose to be a Patriot anyway. Perhaps Julie prefers the memories of what recently occurred at UC Berkeley when the school was burned & trashed to stop a conservative speaker his right to speak there. I hope we can keep any political discussions free from personal name calling. Or, maybe take a break all together Craig?

Mike...thanks for noting the author of the article.

Your welcome Sherry. A very interesting gentleman. How did you come across this guy? Does he currently write for a nationally syndicated magazine or paper?

Sherry Bailey (Westland) (1968)

Mike, I ran across a book he co-wrote (Donkey Cons:Sex, Crime & Corruption in the Dem Party). Very enlightening book. Last I heard he was the Asst. Natl. Editor for the WA Times. Also had a huge following as a blogger.

Will check him out. Just out of curiosity, line by line do you agree with that quote?

Well said Julie. Thank you. You are always a voice of reason and intelligence.

I don't think this is the place for personal attacks. We are all entitled to our own opinions and should not be attacked for it. IF you feel the need to attack someone go after Craig he's a lawyer and can take it. LOL

While I'm on the subject of Craig, post #5046. I have renewed respect for you thank you. And if Robert can't spar with you, I'm sorry you're way over my head. You might check with Dan or Joel . Heck Vern might give you a good run.

My dear WHS classmates. I have communicated with almost everyone of you on this website at one time or another through the Message Forum, the Message Center, or Personal Messaging. I have come to know many of you, even though I may not have personally met you. I am thankful for the opportunity this website has given me to learn more about you and your families. It grieves me to read some of the comments that have been posted about friends I care for...and "YOU" are "ALL" my friends. May we all strive to be better people, be thankful for what we have, say, "I'm sorry," when we make a mistake...and we all have, make restitution where possible, and strive to not make the same mistake again, ask forgiveness, so that we may regain a clear conscience. Look for the good in all things. It's not easy, and we all have to continually work at it. When we make another mistake...which we will, start the process over. It's a never ending way of life...but oh so worth it!

"GO WOLVES!...FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!"

Arguing politics is like those "Chinese" handcuffs we had when we were kids. You stuck both index fingers (right hand and left hand, get it?) into the thing and pulled and you got nowhere. And no matter how hard you pulled you stayed stuck. You could only get free when both sides totally eased up. Kumbaya, y'all, Kumbaya. ...and remember, liberalism is not the answer and conservatism is not the answer...people are the answer.

06/25/17 09:47 AM #3696

Mike Miller (1966)

Well said Joel. Reminds me of when we were kids and one kid would say to the other..."pull my finger".

It appears the left have been most likely to name call. Why do that?

Sherry, I am sorry you were attacked for your freedom of speech. Wow. Pretty shallow.

There are some very dedicated believers on both sides of this political argument, but none of you compare with the demonistrators at the corner of Douglas and Eurika in Roseville, CA, which happens to be close to the office of our local congressman .  In over 100 degree heat these guys of both parties are out there yelling at the traffic, waving signs, yelling at each other, and even pounding on hoods of cars. I don't think anybody's mind was changed.  They're also close to Kaiser hospital if anyone gets heatstroke .

Janet Long (Levers) (1966)

Thank you Elvis and Vern. I am a Democrat and don't appreciate being labeled a hater; I work hard to be inclusive and understand other points of view, but that does not include the lies of Faux News (the Berkeley campus was NOT burned down, or the 30,000 students there even threatened) and I'd like to think they're even getting the message about misogyny (hatred of women) in the workplace. In addition to that Supreme hater Rush Limbaugh, I could list a lot of animosity-spewing threats to civil society like the alt-right, Alex Jones or even the (our?) Supreme Leader, who is trying to unify us in hate of non-white ethnicities. Please go to an integrated church-I know Minnesota has some; and see the color of God's rainbow.

06/26/17 06:33 AM #3701

Sherry Bailey (Westland) (1968)

Janet, I didn't label you a hater. If you read everything, I said it was a generic post and not all are haters. Yet, those hate groups align with your party. And I haven't heard anyone other than conservatives speak out against these violent acts. In fact, I believe you just downplayed what happened at UC Berkeley. I don't believe you are fully aware of the growth of these violent groups. They are fueled daily by MSM, (rants from the left), and celebrity threats to assassinate Prez. Trump. (Who, if you live in America, is your President. Just like Obama was mine even though I didn't vote for him.) Furthermore, MN and many other states are forming groups who are threatening and injuring conservatives/Trump supporters. You called me a racist which could not be further from the truth. And before you judge someone you have never met, know that my church is full of God's rainbow of colors...including black & hispanic pastors.....and a caucasian one too.

Vern, thanks for your message #5048.  Finally, a post for love and friendship.  Everyone, think before you post.  Okay to be provocative but not mean.
