Great picure of your dad Theresa.  I met him at Orrick OIl Co. when I worked there right out of high school.  I took care of the old yellow and black chevy and also the new 1967 chevy he got.  (Same exact color as the old one.)  He was a wonderful man.  We became good friends.  He was so happy for me when I became a firefighter for Woodland and wished me the best.  A fond memory for me.

On this Nov 11, I remember with great respect my father and his brother and all my mother's older brothers who fought in the Pacific theatre during WWII. I was so fortunate to have them all in my life. We were truly blessed to be raised and mentored and taught by the greatest generation.

Dennis: So nice to hear from you about Dad and working at Orrick.  Dad took care of his cars, inside and out.  He loved the 1950 BelAir Chevy, yellow and black; in fact we all did.  It was sweet!  The next Chevy was good, but the character was totally the Bell.  He talked highly of all the guys who worked at Orrick, especially when he heard they were moving up into a new job or career.  Your words brought back the best of memories; so hard to have lost him at age 55, just terrible.  Thank you so much for sharing.  John Gorman was ready to buy that Chevy and restore it.  But, he was not aware Dad had already sold the Bell. John would have made a dream car.

"Cosmic Country" - His answer when Ray Benson of "Asleep At the Wheel" was asked what genre of music his band played. All you music lovers (and who isn't) can catch Kasey Musgrove on You Tube. The video is beautiful (and trippy).

Since Dennis got me thinking of all those wonderful late modeled Chevy cars; I thought I would add one more beautiful Chevy to the collection, the 1955 Chevy.  Here is a picture of Chris Bradford, Class of 1964, with his 1955 Chevy.  This was another model I totally loved.  I was always a Chevy Gal, until the later years when the Honda became my car of choice.  This was a picture from the famous Orangle Peal, Woodland High School paper.  Always checked out the Heap of the Week!  Thank you Chris.

Gary, we are "old car" people,, (JR has a 1934 Ford) but I don't recognize any of these cars, where was the show?  We average 4-5 carshows a year.

November 22, 1963; Dallas, Texas.  President John F. Kennedy, his last day!  In memory of a great man and President of our Country.  His words remain true.   I was a Junior in Woodland High School, Mr. Gordon's Art Class.

THANKS DONALD.  I ALSO HAVE A FULL SIZE SKELETON AS MY PASSANGER.  I GET AS MANY COMMENTS ABOUT HE SKELETON AS I DO THE CAR.  FOR AN OLD GUY I GUESS I AM DOING OK.  STILL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GRASS.  I HAVE HAD THE RANCHERO FOR 5 YEARS. BODY WAS IN GOOD SHAPE BUT HAVE HAD TO REPLACE A LOT OF THINGS AND EPAINT THE CAR.  PAINTED IT THE ORIGINAL COLORS.
