well I thought I would break the ice. Happy Valentines to all. cold out here in the east. Covid still hanging around, But all is well. since the first of the year, I have lost 5 church members, 2 friends, and 1 co-worker,all within a two week span, I really thought the world was coming to an end. God is Good and has a plan for us all. have faith.  none of the deaths were Covid related, all were natural death related to age.

Haven't been online for awhile. Andrea (Fernandez - class of 1967) and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary last October. Between our son and twin daughters, we have 10 grandkids.

I finally retired for good last year. It was my second retirement- Safeway - 15 years - retired as a Deli Manager. My first retirement was 2001 - Pacific Bell/SBC - 27 years - retired as a Software Project Manager.

Unfortunately, Andrea is fighting colon cancer and undergoing chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatment.

Andrea and I use the same email address burke_andrea_fong@sbcglobal.net. Feel free to contact us

I just learned of the passing of James Taylor and his wife Jackie Hawkins Taylor. Believe they might have been in the 1963 class. Jim passed in January and Jackie two weeks later. So sorry for the loss of these two nice people. Condolences to the families.

I saw the announcement also about Jackie Hawkins Taylor and her husband.  Jackie was from the Class of 1964, I remember her well.  A very happy and friendly gal.  Bless them both.  My condolences to all of the family.  Lovely picture of them in the Woodland Democrat.  Have been reading of too many of my Woodland High School friends and family passing.  My very best to all my friends who remain enjoying life.

Just had a long visit with my Heart Doc, seems my life will be taken a different turn than I planned.  Funny, been watching the page and morning of the loss of guys and gals from the Wolf parade of the '60s (key dates 65/66).  Been thinking that all those years walking daily delivering mail, was keeping the old ticker in good shape, but that was coming on 20 years ago, I stopped and boy has the tune turned.  Wishing you all well, glad to see another spring (early?), who knew we'd like this long, would have taken better care of one's self.     "Run, Cover, Duck!"  Those were the days my friend, we thought they never end...........................

Duane, I am sorry to hear about your health problems. My prayers are with you and your family.

Craig:  So enjoy seeing the almond trees in bloom.  That is one of Yolo Counties most lovely sights.  Those farm lands cannot be many more beautiful..  Thank you for posting.

The above picture is Andrea and me with our 2 daughters and seven of our 10 grandkids.

Our daughters are twins, Shaston (brunette) is older than Sofia by a minute. Shaston and her husband, Jimmie (not in the picture) have a girl and 2 boys (one of the boys is not in the picture). Sofia and her husband, Sean, have 2 girls and 3 boys. Amarissa (Ami) (back row - far right) is 15 years old and the oldest of our grandkids.

Missing from the picture is our son, Christian, and his wife, Jessica. They have a boy and a girl.

This picture was taken in December, 2021, at the UCD Arboretum.

Just as we thought Spring was here, winter popped up again.  Glad to hear we are getting snow and possible rain in the valley, which we so need.  However, getting home from yoga it was really cold.  I had to cover my small citrus trees and fill the humming bird feeders.  Glad I kept my quilts on the bed.  We are still in winter.

Craig:  Very sorry to learn of Russia's moves, along with China's support.  Very fearful of such a combination to all of the world.  History does repeat, and not in a good way.  So where is Churchill when you need his wisdom and strength.

Jeff, it is great to research and document family history.  I have been working on the Eve Family from France and Germany, as well as the Krewson Family on my Mother's side.  Collecting the pictures is like meeting each member personally.  Glad I started working on this project before my Mother and Aunt had passed, they provided the wonderful stories.  Good to hear that others are working on these projects.  Great.
