This is the chart related to the Irish government's lockdown requirements. We were under level 4 or 5 for about a year and a half, and other levels for another six months. I posted about this a couple of posts ago and thought I would add this for clarification. I don't think any state in America had such restrictive regulations. During this time the suicide rate rose dramatically and people died of medical issues that were not addressed since the doctors and hospitals were only treating Covid. I lived alone for much of this time and it was maddening and brutal. Funerals and weddings were limited to just a few people. I think it was 10 or less.

Our Town,  The Play in 1962.   I remember it well as I was the First Dead Man in the Cemetery and I only had one line to say in the Play so I never forgot it.    Some of my favorite Classmates were in the Play,  Mike Crutcher and Connie Long.   I remember Ron Blickle helping me put on the Stage Makeup.   Thank you Teresa for bring up this Memory out of the Past.    The Our Town Play when I was brand new to Woodland High School.  Mr Sugars tried very hard to get me a part in the Play.      Jim Barger,  Class of 1963

I think I was a freshman when our family went to see that production of "Our Town." That was quite a role for Mike Shanafelt. I didn't know him well but he had a big impact on me. One day I tagged along with my brother to Mike's house and Mike played a new record for us. It blew me away. It was like nothing I'd ever heard before. It was the groundbreaking LP by The Dave Brubeck Quartet, "Time Out" with the hit song "Take Five." I understand that album introduced a lot of young white American kids to modern jazz, including myself. I bought my own copy of that LP. And soon after I had records by The Modern Jazz Quartet, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonius Monk and the like. Thanks Mike wherever you may be.

Joel:  It was the perfect role for Michael to be cast in Our Town.  He did a great job. It was a wonderful play with good actors from our Woodland High Scool.  Mr. Sugars knew his job as director.   Michael is living in Oregon with his wife Betsie.

Thanks Theresa for reminding us of the articles in the Orange Peal (I wonder who came up with that name for our High school Paper??)  Anyway, did anyone else save the clipping of when your car was featured as "Heap of the Week"

Great picture of you Greg with your car.  You were always into cars.  Funny to see all the old modeled cars in the Woodland High Scool parking lot.  I will look for Orange Peal articles.

Fred Broesch has passed, but he made his living by restoring cars.  Grest skills he had.

Tom. The Covid restrictions impacted our family. Andrea's younger sister, Raquel, died of Covid in Sacramento. She died alone in a hospital and couldn't be visited by family.

We were only allowed to have 3 people at a grave site burial in Sacramento. I drove Andrea and her older sister, Diana, to the cemetery. The rest of Racquel's siblings couldn't go. We couldn't have a service for her.

Greg, that is sad to hear about Don and Gary; both from the Class of 1962.  Don was very active in all the Class Reunions.  They will be missed.

Greg Kareofelas (1962)

Yes Theresa, sad! Our class (1962) always had a group that kept a list of names (even back in the before email, postcard days) of our class for reunions. But, it was Don, before the 50th, that really found many of the "lost" classmate names and addresses that had been misplaced or lost over the years. Don, did not have a scanner, so he would stop over with any photos he found for me to help scan so they could be added the the 1962 website. I last saw him at the "all 60's reunion" last fall.

Yes, your last 1962 Class Reuion was so fun.  Don got the Mexican Red Food Truck for that event and it was so good.  I was glad I told him that was a wonderful choice.  Wish I had ordered some food to take home.  Great tacos from that truck.  Don knew everyone, and the dating history of each classmate.  Amazing.  .

Just had coffee with Don Murdock and Shaffer Tafoya a few weeks ago. Don was a great guy! Rest in peace Buddy!

I believe the name of the highschool paper, "Orange Peel" was made by a long

time former teacher, Mary Guhl.  Her daughter Betty was in the class of 1960.

David Stotts (1965)

Don spelled his name with an H. Murdoch.  RIP Don
