Very sorry to hear about Sue Montgomery's passing. Thank you, Terri, for letting us know. I plan to see Senior VP Dan Wirth next month to celebrate his 80th birthday, and I'll let him know (although I suspect his wife JoAnn will see this news before we get there).

The Class of 66 held their 60th Class Reunion on Saturday, September 12 at the Roth Event Center on Main Street.  I cannot figure out how to post a photo.  Can anyone send me the instructions?  Thank you.

My wife, Maggie, and I had a fun time at the Class of 1966 reunion on 9/12/2026.

It was great to meet up with friends and aquaintances that I hadn't seen in years, witch wasn't hard since it's been 60 years since high school.

The nice thing that stuck out to me was, I was recognised as an artist and not a ballplayer or the T-shirt guy or the sign painter or the or the motorcycle guy or the umpire. Everyone recognised me as an artist and wanted to know how that is going. It was nice to finally shake all those old monikers.

Here are a few examples of my more recent work:

Good morning everyone! I also went to the class reunion on Saturday and it was wonderful! I also wanna thank Norma Barritoni and everyone that worked on putting it together. It was a very nice venue and a lot of fun. I hadn't been to reunion for 50 years so it was quite an experience for me because everybody's changed so much. Food was very good. It's so hard to believe it's been 60 years! Hope to see everyone in the next five years.

Here's a memory from the 1960's. This is a radio dial from a 1960's Ford Falcon. I saved it because it had the "CD 640 & 1240" on the dial. During a neclear attack, we could tune into those two frequencies and get Cival Defense information.

Hey Greg,  Thank you for reminding me of our past.  I'd forgotten about this. So, I went out to my 1960 Ford PU and this is what I found!!!

I want to thank Carol Wright and her committee members (hope she had committee members!) for a lovely 65th class reunion last Saturday, Oct. 3rd.  It was attended by about 50+ folks,   There were lots of Orange and White memorial copies of past accomplishments of our class members on all the walls, tables were all decorated with orange blossums, and orange cloth napkins!!  And there were photo albums from both Beamer and Dingle elementery schools.  Wow!!  As well as the kids who attended the Catholic School.  There was also a picture of a Sunday School Class at the Methodist Church, that I think had my Mother in front of the class leding the lesson.  Sure would like to get a copy of that picture which I had never seen before!  And the class was huge!

I had thought that I would like to add to the festivities by leading a class in Line Dancing, something I have learned to enjoy and benefit from.  So, I charged up my speaker, made sure I had the song on my phone, and got ready to share the fun with the gang.  But it has been a while since I attended a reunion, and when I saw all the canes, and a few walkers in the hall, I realized that perhaps my idea of a fun activity had passed its expiration date, so didn't go for it.  Just a decade too late, I guess!  But if any of you in this or slightly earlier classes are looking for an activity to keep up your metabilism, Line Dancing can be a wonderful activity.  It is gentle, no lunges, yet challenges the brain as well as the body!  And you don't need a partner to participate.  If your recreation center doesn't offer line dancing, you can request that it be offered.  It is now a world wide accepted activity.

     Thanks again, Carol and Crew!

John Morelli (1965)

It is with extreme sadness and sorrow that I report the passing of my life long friend, Corky (Hanley) Ewert who lost his battle with an illness on Saturday, October 12.  He was a graduate of the class 1965. He joined the Marine Corp right out of high school.  After 5 months of training, he went to Vietnam as an infantryman–machine gunner.  He was a recipient of two Purple Hearts.  His second PH for a wound that almost took his life (an explosion to his head and entire body), and he was medevac-ed to Okinawa for medical treatment.  During his 4 years at WHS, Corky participated in football, wrestling and baseball.  He was married to Becky Zane Ewert, class of 1964.  He will be deeply missed.

Hi John

I have always believed that anyone who served in Vietnam, their name belongs on the Memorial in Washington DC, regardless of when they pass!! Sorry for your loss!

The WHS Class of 1961 had our 65th reunion on Oct 3 at Cracchiolo's,

We had 212 graduates and still have 76 in our hearts. Here are the pictures of the 60 who made it to dinner brought to you by: Carol, Mike, Patty, Bill, Caroline & Donna.

That was a fun hour getting them all in here. See you all in 2031 for our 70th !!!

Hi John, I am also very saddened to hear about Corky's passing, I last saw and talked to him at our last 1965 class reunion or 60s decade reunion about 5-6 years ago. He was a good friend. I remember cruising with him in his orange 1963(?) Pontiac GTO and later his 1968 blue Dodge Charger. He liked fast cars. I had many good times with him during high school and for several years after. We took many day trips to go snow skiing at Squaw Valley (now Palisades). He was always funny. I don't think he ever learned how to turn on snow skis. He would go straight downhill fighting to stay on his skis until he fell. That was how he would stop. John, do or anyone know if there will be a service and when and where it might be?
