My career as a nurse was a wish of mine since i was 5 years old. My twin Bill wanted to be a doc since he was also 5.We felt the very same way about music. I played clarinet and Bill played trombone.I still reside in Woodland, Ca.My children have also been active in their careers. Doiug is a pharmacy technician. He resides in Sacramento. He is single.Kristin and John live in Galt. She teaches in Stockton at Lincoln HIgh School where she teaches 375 students everyday. She directs in all seven classes. In addition, she teaches at Sierra Junior High and has an additional 125 students.She has an additional teacher to share the work load.This year the high school students performed at Carneige Hall.She then took the junior high students to perform at Disneyland.There was a visit to Washington DC while back east.I became critically ill after an allergic reaction to the Live Rubella Vaccine in 1974. I have been disabled as a result. I spent years in a manual wheelchair where we raised our three children quite successfully I might add.I have been total these past 16 years. My husband Don remains my constant caregiver.We have a grandson, Mark Richard Thorpe. he is 9 and a well functioning autistic child.We talk daily and mark is especially interested the the U.S. Presidents, particularly Teddy Roosevelt, Mark loves the outdoors so we often talk about Yosemite, where his dad grew up.Mark loves The Grand Canyon most of all. His Aunt Kristin Florek went to The Grand Canyon when she was a student of the Methodist Churches" hand bell choir as a young lady. They performed at sunrise on July 4th one year. It is an experience she will never forget.She uses the same enthusiasm with her students today.Mark"s mom Elizabeth is a media consultant for "in adventures in Disneyland". She has over 10 million followers on her blog alone.Sher is in the process of writing three separate publications concerning Disneyland and all of the venues.Mark brings some of his fellow autistic friends who require much help and guidance.He simply loves people!
School Story

Iwent to CSUC after high school where i studied nursing. I also attended CSUS and UCD, majoring in pharmacology. Bill went to The Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions to become a physician..He studied ophthalmology.Bill reached out to the homeless and especially to those addicted.He saw several patients go to recovery.He had reached out to the gay population as a gay person himself.He welcomed everyone as a friend.He made time for his friends first and foremost.

I WISH YOU A VERY.VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! SOON I HAVE TO MOVE TO STOLLWOOD CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL FOR THE DURATION. IT IS IN THE PHONE BOOK. I SURVIVED RUBELLA VACCINE ALLERGY ON 5/3/1974. I HAVE PAIN MANAGEMENTS ISSUES BUT HAVE NO OTHER HEALTH ISSUES. I WAS CHARGE AT A CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL

I will be going to Stollwood Convalescent Hospital at Saint John's United Church of Christ's Retirement Village at 135 Woodland Avenue in Woodland CA 95695. I am waiting on bed availability......the Rubella vaccine i was given when Kristin Castles Florek was just one day old. i am borderline diabetic, but am healthy otherwise. I LOVE TO GIVE AND RECEIVE CARDS! I PLAN ON ANOTHER 20 YEARS!

HAVE A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. MARCH 12TH IS MY BIRTHDAY! BILL DIED IN 1999. IT IS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT HIM. WHEN WE WERE 5 BILL WANTED TO BECOME A DOC AND I WANTED TO BECOME A NURSE. WE EACH ACCOMPLISHED THAT. YOUR MOM AND I WORKED TOGETHER AT WOODLAND MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. I BEGAN WORK THERE WHEN I WAS 16. BILL WENT TO THE JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY AND THE JOHNS HOPKINS MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS. I WENT TO CSUC AND CSUS. I HAVE BEEN MARRIED 44 YEARS AND I HAVE 3 CHILDREN. I SUFFERED A RUBELLA VACCINE INJURY IN 1974, WHEN KRISTIN WAS ONE DAY OLD. I HAVE BEEN IN A WHEELCHAIR SINCE 1974.DOUG IS NOW 48, KRISTIN IS 42, AND ELIZABETH IS 39. ELIZABETH HAS A SON, MARK, WHO IS 9. DOUG IS A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, KRISTIN TEACHES JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL.SHE HAS 125 STUDENTS AT HER JUNIOR HIGH AND 375 STUDENTS AT HER HIGH SCHOOL. ELIZABETH IS A WRITER.

I ENJOYED PLAYING IN THE PEP BAND AT ALL THE FOOTBALL GAMES.IT WAS SO MUCH FUN ON THE ROOTERS BUSES. WE PLAYED OUR INSTRUMENTS ON THE BUSES ON THE WAY HOME, ESPECIALLY IF WE WON!I.FOOTBALL KEPT US ALL TOGETHER. AS A FRESHMAN, YOU LOOKED UP TO THE JUNIORS AND SENIORS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD. THE CHEER LEADERS AND THE SONG GIRLS KEPT EVERYTHING SO EXCITING FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY. LARRY MEANS COULD ALWAYS BE COUNTED TO KEEP ALL OF WOODLAND THERE AND VERY EXCITED!
