Sherry. Way too much writing about whatever it is you were writing about. Just for your record, when I do watch tv it is fox, msnbc, cnn, cnbc and anything else that has political news on it. I watched almost all the republican convention but none of the democratic as we were in Italy. I have never been a republican, nor democrat. I worked for the Reagan for governor campaign, voted for both Bushes, and can't stand Bill Clinton, for personal reasons, very long story.

I believe Obama has been given a raw deal with his lack of support from congress for a lot of great legislation he tried to get passed but was blocked, or completely ignored.

I also know that it's hard to change a persons mind about engrained political views, even when in my heart, I think I am right. So I rest my case, hold my tongue, and will carry on.

All my best...M

Ahhhhh, nothing like Sex, Religion, Politics to get folks spun up...Me I like my sex in the bedroom, religion in church and lastly politics in the voting booth, but what do I know....I do know everything changes ever two year for the later.....as for the others, they keep going on until we either get a new trophy wife, or dislike the preaching of the local minister so we move on........I sort miss the old days, but with some of us dying off early, our group gets smaller everyday........I still get a hoot out of the Southside folks against the Northside folks, seems that's where the money was in the south off gibson road and such.  I remember the different cliques (I spell that right?) that ran the halls of WHS, and I still some of that at the last reunion my 50th.......There are members of the different classes that have never made a reunion over the years, reunions beneath them.........Me I had different levels of friends, the ones that stayed wirh during those WHS years are the ones who I enjoy the most and still do, those are true friends......So the long of it, Beauty, Brains,  Satirest and others, keep spinning, it makes for good reading...I leave with the wishing of  Good Health and Happiness, time is getting shorter, just not for me................

Sherry Bailey and (childhood pal) Mike Miller...the first rule of life is "TRUST NO ONE." Since the days of William Randolph Hearst and probably since the days of Moses, the media has been as guilty as the politicians in misleading the public. You can both watch, read, and listen to politics 24-7s, if that's what floats your boat but you'll never reach the "real" truth for the future. The only truth is that which has already happened. And with the exception of a couple of insane wars and an economic meltdown or two, I have found that over my 68 years of life, the USA has done very very well under Democrats and Republicans. 20 years ago, my youngest daughter told me that the Earth will only survive for 10 more years because humans have this great big carbon footprint or something. She's still warning me that we only have 10 years left. I tell her, "Whatever floats your boat, Honey." The Earth keeps on spinning, America keeps on boogying. Don't worry, be happy.

Here's a "just for fun" post....I can be fun too!  lol

I bought a MGA Convertible and then later a MGB-GT Convertible. The MGB had an awesome blue metal flake (or metallic) paint job. All my 60's/70's photos are buried deep in the archives, but here's a pix of a similar one only different color.

I loved driving a stick shift.  (I learned on my boyfriend's corvette, which I drove to high school.)  Some of you may remember me driving around campus...or should I say chugging around campus at first. lol)  I wish I had a stick shift today!  I had to give up my Mercedes Convertible 10 yrs ago when I remarried and moved to MN. It wasn't a practical car for the winters out here....but when we're in AZ full time, I want to get another one! I did get a Sebring Convertible but only to drive in the summer here.  I won't soon forget trying to drive over and through a huge pile of snow in our driveway, only to get stuck and having to have the neighbors dig me out. (I have some funny stories of acclimating to and learning about the MN winters coming from CA weather!)

Bill Means....did you know that the Vikings finally beat out the "cheese head" Packers last year for the NFC North Division championship?!  Pretty proud of that....now to see if we can continue the upset.  I must say....Aaron Rodgers is the bomb and knows his stuff....love when he pulls a 'Hail Mary'!  However, we finally have a great coaching team led by Mike Zimmer.....and some really competent players!  :)  (Missed Training Camp this year because of our wedding....).

My favorite color is purple.....Go team!

Mike M., If Joel read your "for your eyes only"....it's a wash!  lol  Italy?  Hmmm how much further has Venice sunk since I was there?  It must still be above water!  I loved Italy, the museums and art are phenomenal.  I was disappointed about the dirty water...and I expected our Gondolier to have a striped shirt and to sing to us like they do in Vegas (where the water is crystal clear)...lol....quite a different experience.  Yet I don't like to complain.  Hope you had a good stay!

I would love to discuss Obama with you, but will choose to 'bite' my tongue.  :)   Wow, don't we wish we had another Reagan in the running....although....lol...okay, no more politics (unless someone else brings it up).

Duane, you brought up a 3rd option not mentioned before.  However, in today's market, the discussion would be more colorful and greatly expanded from one we would have had years ago.

I'm with you. I had friends from all 'levels'....people are people, some richer, some poorer, it didn't matter. I tried to treat everyone the same way and hoped for the same kindness in return .  Unfortunately, my very best friends from high school are already gone.  :(

Nice MG Sherry.  Yes, those little cars need to stay high & dry during winter. I bet we could spend hours swapping winter stories about MN and SD!!

Hot Damn....Cliquing and Class Warfare............Them be DEEP subjects....I ask any of you, when was the last time you walked up to a fellow class mate from the past that you never really befriended or even talked to during any of the reunions?              Cars, I've had a few, but during High School you get what you get or can afford...My first one was a 56 Plymouth Station Wagon, POS......Next was a little 59 Fiat Mulitapla, it was a car that lookied like it was going backward, it only had a 600 cc motor in it, was a hoot to drive, it also was the car that I would drive out to Yolo and pick up Vicki in the morings  and on  other dates.  The Last one was a 52 restored Chysler New Yorker 2 door hard top with a 331ci Hemi that put out 180 HP...That one Vicki and I really enjoyed.     It was fine until a AH ran a stop sign  (59 Ford Sta Wag) which ended up on it's side next to a elm tree and my insurance (Farmers at the time) paid like a ATM to them................  I can say that my car was in our year book,  cool............Medical things......Ah ya, I need a new knee, and I got a cataract that makes things hard to read..........Had three Heriia surgerys, two of which failed and had to redo them and it has failed again...........Had an accident last year and it'll still cooking...Got a statement for my lawyer in SF, it shows, almost 8K owed, Vicki paid up and closed....Makes no sense to me, down here if you don't pay, after 90 days it's collection time.  Part of this must be friggen Medicare that won't do their job.............But if I ever have the money, I'm going to restore my  65 Coment and drag Main street to just let the memory's flood over me................As Brother Robert C sez, Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll!  Sherry your picture is still beautiful.........

Remember the Stones song...You don't alway get what you want......

Duane Jackson (1965)

Na Na, Brother Rees......Life is just that "life", I spend my time and energy doing just what I want, when I want, if I want.....Most of the time I spend on my small side business selling uniforms to Post workers, gets me out of the house...Spend more time on my school board business, this is fun helping my local school district grow and succeed when and how I can.........I get a kick out of helping kids and teachers get things they need for the kids....Spend time working on a school garden, hoping to get kids fired up with learning about where some of our food comes from and seeing new things grow I can/they can eat/they can pick and take home if they choose.....I won't even go into all the things my 4 grandson do and let me help them with......Enjoy time spent with Vicki after almost 50 years this Dec, everyday is a new adventure with her..........When I run out of those things to do, I like you, hop on my Harley and ride here and there, with or without my HOG group..............Standing still makes one a target, I try to keep moving.....10-7 Station......  Had to correct some grammer..............Out

Linda Lopez (1967)

Thanks Jenny for some humor on our page. Keep it up. Made me remember driving whatever car I had cruising Main. Then there was the time my Uncle let me drive his stick shift around San Francisco. Came across that road with the sharp switchbacks. What a ride that was. It really makes no difference what kind of car we had. Life was so much more uncomplicated in those days. ENJOY :)

Sherry. Spent most of our time in Cremona (business & pleasure). Venice was hot and way too crowded. Will go back next time in the fall. The water was fine. Traveled around Venice by private water taxi, the only way to get around.

Decided to stay in a small B&B. Turned out to be a great place, with a perfect location.
