As Ella Fitzgerald loved to sing . . .

“Pack up your troubles and just get happy,

Ya better chase all your cares away

Sing Hallelujah, c’mon get happy

Get ready for the judgment day”

The sun is shinin’, c’mon get happy

The Lord is waiting to take your hand

Shout Halleluhjah, c’mon get happy

We’re goin’ to the Promised Land”

We’re headin’ ‘cross the river

Gonna wash out sins in the tide

It’s all so peaceful

On the other side”

Forget your troubles and just gget happy

Ya better chase all your cares away

Sing Hallelujah, c’mon get happy

Get ready for the judgment day”

Joel, I agree. I lived in the same area

post Falls Id. and Mead Wash. I moved to Las Vegas 3 years ago and you really dont  know until you are gone how great of an area that is . My business covered Id. Wash. Montana Oregon and Nevada. No matter where I traveled I always looked forward to getting home. Speaking of going home I am going home to Woodland after 10 years,I am scared to death. Even though I was born and raised there like they say you can not go home. I am going to stay a couple weeks and walk every street and alley,

Yes Don it has changed so much....the business there..alteration of streets.....people attitudes...but I guess That is change we never vision......I was there last year for a Hot Rod Run....got lost......tried to go those places we walked every day...some not there..I pointed out to my friends we drove down from Bakersfield this used to be where our High school was.....this used to be where this place used to be.......you get the picture...I was thinking about moving back but quickly changed my mind..I do not know any one there that does the same thing I used to do back then   ..........Bakersfield still has it's older buildings and street which used to be their original downtown.....being restore to the way it looked back then..they have their original theatre   the Fox built in the 1930's and in used today restored with that original ticket booth in front....Bakersfield high School built in 1912 still in use..retro fitted up to code..see they could of save old WHS...Oh Sh-- I brought that pain in the A-- subject up again......this place reminds me of Woodland....... Oh well Don   hope everything works out for you...I remember you in elementary class...especially Ms. Congers class....I tell others I am glad I was born when I was..so many great memories and some ugly ones too..life is not perfect....enjoy Woodland....PS..If it wasn't for my year book I would not know about all these neat places and people I went to grammer school...lee..and WHS........

Robert....yes My Dad worked with Shirley's dad in construction.......and  when we were younger he always talked to us kids when I went on the job site in the summer.....he attended my brother's funeral..Elmer....and was very reserved...about the loss of his younger son who also died in a an auto accident before Shirley...he and my dad stayed close after that..it is a process one gets in..just want to be to their self...I saw that every day when my brother died in an auto accident also in my dad.....we talk about them to never forget them..because they were part of our town and school...someone has to...I still today feel that same pain other have never experience and I am glad others never had that experience.....but we grow stronger from it though..may all of you have happy days to come..you all deserve  it...you are all survivors...I like your dogs craig..i am a dog lovers...they do not scream at you...spend the hell out of your money and they continue to be loyal forever.......divorces are the shits...but a girlfriend is great...LMAO...Go CRaig !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone remember these guys?  Fun memories of this talented group of musicians!  I admitedly had a crush on (and dated) a couple of these young men. Any stories about dances where they played, etc......or are there any other women brave enough to share about their crushes?  lol

I believe the class span is 1965 to 1968....

Don Murdoch (1962)

Didn't John Isgreen play drums with Fisher and Alves?  I recall him practicing 'Wipe Out' in his garage where he was building his motorcycle. Those three also played in front of Stan's Mens Store during Sidewalk Days.  I don't recall what year but Danny Parrish was at John's house quite often so it was before Danny went into the Army.

Sherrie, you might check with Bob, Wally, Steve or Malcolm but I believe they also had a "keyboard" player at one time.  They stayed together do about two years playing around the area until Steve left for collage as I recall. used to practice as Wallys over the garage. Played in the Battle of the Bands, Yolo County Fair, The Armory etc.
