If you don't want me knocking on your door, just send the candy to our home in San diego. My favorite is Almond Joys!

Right Eugene.  You forget about the CPUC (state government).  Every year or so when PG&E wants to raise the rates, they have to go to the CPUC to beg them for the increase.  Now Govenor Newsom wants to add another agency to overlook the CPUC and PG&E (about 40 employees, he says).  Funny how his solution to the problem is adding more state workers.  But that's typical of the liberal politicians.  The one reason for the gas fires in San Bruno several years ago was the CPUC didn't approve to raise rates to pay for the rebuilding of the old, delapidated gas lines there.  And we know what happened.  PG&E is not in it by themselves.  There's a whole lot of others controlling them.

Former PG&E CEO Geisha Williams, who resigned in January, just before PG&E filed bankruptsy, was paid $8.6 million in 2017. She was also eligible for a $2.6 million severance package......That's a lot of money for someone who oversaw a company that should have been spending more $$$ on making sure their equipment was up to par and safe to operate. There are a multitude of ways to create expendable dollars that are separate from raising the current rate you are charging your customers. ....IMHO.   P.S. Her replacement's payment package is approx. $9 million the first year, which includes a signing bonus of $3 million.

Eugene. Please post an article which states how democrats are causing you concern. Sounds very interesting.

What the heck, the can of worms has been opened. The leader of our great state of California during the years 2003 to 2011, was Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The San Bruno PG&E gas line explosion happened in September of 2010. So my question is this, Eugene and Aileen. Do the same implications apply to that political party ?

To continue Tim's train of info, within the last month, the 2nd in command, another HIGH DOLLAR salaryman, got canned for being quite tone deaf: two years to the day after the Tubbs fire, he and lots of other rich guys had a large fancy party in the Sonoma area where that fire raged through. He's one of the few to get his just desserts...

Just a reminder. No Republicans or Democrats are allowed on this Forum; only members of the Woodland Wolf family of the good old nineteen sixties. Think of this site as a family gathering, and leave your politics at the curb... or in the gutter. For those of us who have been on the site for awhile, remember the Wolf who was banished from the site and now forever "haunts" the detention room of the old high school. You don't want to be next. BOO!

I have property above Oroville, About a week before the paradise fire myself and a friend from gridley were d riving trough paradise and we were talking about how if there was a fire there nothing would survive.

In the past they did controlled burns in the Oroville area to keep the under brush and the dead fuel burnt down so if it caught fire there was not enough fuel to catch the tree canopy on fire.

The forest service has not done that now for many years.

The forests in my opinion are mismanaged quite badly.

In the last few years I also have to pay a extra yearly fee for fire protiction on top of my county property taxes and other fees which I believe should cover the cost of fire protection.

I realize that most all people in government are beuracrats and most dont really care about the people.

I was a life long democrat until the last election and could not bring myself to vote for Hillary Clinton after the things that I believe she had done [ just my opinion ] But I do believe that anyone who votes for a Democrat in the state of California deserves everything that they get with the burden that the liberals in power put on the citizens of this great state

I don't post very much, but I check in often - I agree with Joel.   Please don't make this site political.

( Attention WHS Classmates )  A friend of mine scored a ticket to the 2020 Super Bowl game, including airfare and deluxe accommodations. But, he just realized it's the same day as his wedding, so now he can't go. If you are interested in taking his place, it's February 2nd at the St. Francis church in Sacramento, at 5 PM.

Greg, great post of the Holy Rosary Kindergarten Class of 1949, on Halloween.  Do hope some people can identify the little heads in the picture.  So sweet.  A big thank you.

Thanks Joel.  I always read the posts and almost went away when I saw the politics.  I even refuse to discuss politics with my friends-I want to keep the ones that I have.

After months of careful planning and preparation, I'm finally going to fulfill a lifelong dream of mine.  So I really hope some of you can make it out to the grand opening of my new restaurant. It's called  "Karma".....It wont have any menus......you'll just get what you deserve.

Greg's picture from Holy Rosary's Halloween of '49 reminds me of my class picture of Halloween. I graduated from Holy Rosary in '62. Thanks for the memories.

Does anyone have any pictures that are from Holy Rosary 8th grade class of '62? I'm looking to find some, as I dont really have any. My kindergarten costume was very unique, and my adult daughter wont let me live it down but doesnt believe me. So I would love any pictures, but specifically looking for class pictures I think October 1953 Halloween taken at Holy Rosary Parrish Hall on Walnut.Thank you.

Hi Howard, The Halloween Pic I posted was taken in the Parish Hall on Walnut, if I remember correctly, we were on the second floor? You would want to ask anyone that was in youir class, someone should have saved the pic. My mom had all my pix ( thru 8th grade in a scrap book). Some one's mom in your class should have probably done the same thing :-)

Hi Howard

I wonder if Holy Rosary has any archives of various class photos - I still have all my Kindergarten thru 8th, they only show my class. I should check and see, because I would donate my originals - I have scans made of them and really no longed need the originals?
