So sad to hear about the passing of Jim. Although I did not know him

personally, I felt like I got to know him from the article and comments that have been

posted. My condolences to all his family.

He was a very gifted and loved person and will be missed by all those

that knew him.

May he Rest In Peace.

In adddition to the many kind thoughts for our classmate, Jim, that I received at our reunion dinner, I was also reminded of several of our many (mis-)adventures as twins growing up in Woodland.  After some rummaging I found photographic evidence for an early episode involving our classmate Joanie Meek Schneider.  This was posted in the Daily Democrat on Valentines Day, 1957(1956?) entitled "Two Hearts for Joan"

Sweet Valentine's Greeting.  Those were the times when the news was so clean and fun in the community.  Love seeing this picture.  Thank you so much.

I hate it when I offer someone a sincere compliment on their mustache and suddenly she's not my friend anymore.

Tim I know exactly how you feel!
I was at the gym the other day and saw a woman struggling with some weights. Wanting to encourage her I said, "FOR A FAT GIRL YOU SURE DON't SWEAT MUCH!" She gave me the most awful look! 😡

On behalf of my sister...

Over the years, I have enjoyed reading the posts on the Message Forum.  Unfortunately, I'm not able to post comments because the speech device I use seems to have problems with posts.  However, Steve and others will post a comment for me.  For some reason, I am able to send private messages.

I didn't make it to the Class of '69 Reunion Dinner in September, but my husband and daughter took me to Woodland so I could meet with some friends/classmates that afternoon.  I really had a great time seeing them.  Then a couple of weeks ago, I received a large card signed by classmates at the Reunion Dinner.  What a wonderful surprise!!  Thank you so much for thinking of me.  I was touched by your thoughts and comments.  They are much appreciated.  Thank you.  I enjoyed the group photo, too.  I must admit that the names were familiar but most faces were not. Lol.

Lastly, I would just like to say that some friends have told me that they no longer have high school reunions.  I am so grateful for our Woodland High grads who created this website, and who plan and organize the class reunions and decade reunions.  You are fantastic.  Thank you.

Okay, sorry for the interruption.  You can get back to the jokes.  They do make me smile.

God bless you,

Lois Takimoto (Kawata)

I found this photo of our very own beautiful WHS 1969 graduate, Lois Takimoto Kawata, and wanted to post it for all to enjoy!  Lois, your beauty is more than skin deep. I have enjoyed reading your very inspirational spiritual story you once posted and it still inspires me. You truly are a child of God!

May God bless you and your family!

We all love you Lois!

PS - Judging from the photo with your wonderful friends, you still part your hair on the same side and still have the same beautiful smile!

After giving it an extraordinary amount of thought, I've decided that when I finally leave this earth, I want my remains to be scattered at Disneyland, Las Vegas and The Sea Ranch ( on the Sonoma County coast ).........Also, I do not want to be cremated.

To our team of organizers for our next reunion: can we book Tim as our primary entertainment. I have not had the pleasure of seeing him live!  Also, Tim are you open for small audiences: such as family gatherings? You are one funny guy.

You can contact me through this website.
